Rice Aman

• Stage:Grain Formation
• Apply pesticides after the current spell of rainfall.
• Do not apply irrigation.
• Maintain 2-5 cm land water level.
• Present weather condition is congenial for False smut infestation. Apply Fertilizer management.

Vegetable

• Apply pesticides after the current spell of rainfall.
• Prepare seed bed for growing winter vegetables in advance.
• Cauliflower, Cabbage can be cultivated in well-drained land.
• Eggplant may be attacked by tip and fruit borer under current weather conditions. For control, cut off and destroy infested tips along with the insects. Insect breeding can be greatly reduced by using pheromone traps. Use spray of approval dose of insecticides, if necessary or recommended local organic insecticides may be used.
• Peppers may be attacked by mite under current weather conditions. To control mite, soak one kg of semi-broken neem seeds in 20 liters of water for 24 hours and spray the water (after chopping) on the underside of the leaves. If the attack is heavy, wet spray the leaves with insecticide Omite 57EC at the rate of 2.0 ml per liter of water or Vertimek 1.8EC at the rate of 12 ml per 10 liters of water.

Horticultural

• Apply pesticides after the current spell of rainfall.
• Coconut trees may be attacked by mite under current weather condition. In case of attack, all young coconut of affected trees should be cut down and burnt. Infected trees and nearby young trees should be sprayed with any mite repellent such as Omite 57 EC mixed in 1.5 ml of one liter of water.
• Symptoms of Sigatoka disease may appear on banana leaves under current weather conditions. For control, spray 2-3 times every 15-20 days by mixing 0.5 ml score or 2 g Noin or Bavistin or 0.1 ml Econazole/Folicor per liter of water.
• Apply Malathion or Diazinon 60 EC or Libacid 50 EC at approved doses in case of banana beetle infestation under current weather condition.
• Papaya plants may be attacked by milli bugs under current weather conditions. In early stages of attack, the affected leaves/stems along with the insects should be collected and destroyed. If the attack is more, spray 2-3 times after 15 days by mixing 5 grams of soapy water or 0.25 ml of Edmair 200 ml per liter of water.
• Do not apply Irrigation.

Livestock

• Keep the cowshed clean and dry
• Feed them only dry food
• Use disinfectants such as bleaching powder in cowshed
• Cattle should not be allowed in waterlogged fields
• If wound found at foot and mouth wash the wound with potassium permanganate solution.
• If any disease symptoms appear, seek veterinary advice immediately for appropriate treatment.

Poultry

• Provide deworming.
• Spray the disinfectant in the poultry house and then keep the chicken.
• Provide dry food and clean drink water.

Fishery

• Repair damaged dykes of fisheries ponds or surround it with netting and takes care so that fishes do not escape.
• Remove the unwanted fishes before new fingerling in the fish pond.
