Rice Aman

• Stage:Tillering
• Apply pesticides after the current spell of rainfall.
• Drain out excess water.
• Do not apply irrigation.
• Maintain 5-7 cm land water level.
• Present weather condition is congenial for Rice case worm infestation. Apply Malathion @2ml. per liter water.
• Present weather condition is congenial for Yellow Stem borer infestation. Apply Carbofuran @10kg per ha.

Vegetable

• Make the drainage facility properly in the field seed bed of early winter vegetables (Cabbage, cauliflower, tomato).
• To avoid damage of seedlings due to rainy season, farmers should apply portable transparent Polythene shade on bed of nursery seedlings. The height of shade should be 75cm in the middle portion and 60 cm in the both sides. These practices will beneficial for better germination and got healthy seedlings just from 20-25 days after sowing.
• In case of Cucurbitaceous crop, trailing the plant on ladder like bamboo structure may be arranged. Maintain proper drainage facility. Weeding and earthing up in the vegetable crop field to avoid water stagnation and to support crop stand.
• At this stage of the rainy season, attack of fruit fly, red pumpkin beetle and epilechna beetle in summer gourds may be observed, spray malathion 57 EC@ 1ml per litre of water in the field to control these insects when the weather is sunny.

Horticultural

• Provide mechanical support to banana, to prevent the crops from lodging due to strong winds.
• Prevailing weather conditions are congenial for the attack of mealybug on papaya fruit. The pest incidence can be controlled by spraying of Fenitrothion 50EC (Sumithion) @ 1.5ml/litre water ; also destruct ant colonies with drenching of Chlorpyriphos 20 EC @ 2 ml/liter.
• There is a chance of Sigatoka disease in banana due to favourable weather for incidences of the disease. As a precaution, spray Pseudomonas 20g/liter. In case of severe attack, spray 1.0 ml Hexaconazole or Propiconazole per liter of water by mixing it with a sticker and spray on both the surface of the leaf.

Livestock

• Give anthelmintic drugs.
• Wash the wound area with potassium permanganate in the leg. Wash the cattle's face with baking soda if got abscesses on the face.
• Cattle should not be grazed in waterlogged fields.
• Use disinfectants such as potassium permanganate/bleaching powder in the shelter.
• Ensure that water does not flow on the floor.
• Keep cattle on relatively high ground.
• Feed only dry food.

Poultry

• Feed tetracycline powder along with rice to chickens infected with Ranikhet disease.
• Provide dry food and drink clean water.
• Spray disinfectant on the shed and then place the poultry.
• Provide dewormed to the poultry.

Fishery

• If there were fish diseases or less growth, contact the nearest Upazila fisheries office.
• Partially harvest fish and restock more than 10% of them 3/4 days after harvest.
• Monitor the growth of fish and disease by sampling every 15 days.
• Observe the fish for getting fed.
• Making your fish food, maintain the percentage of proteins and other ingredients as per the formula.
• Give quality food according to the quantity of fish at a specific time and place every day.
• Apply fertilizers (per day- Urea 6gm, TSP 4gm per decimal).
