Vegetable

• There is chance of Phomopsis disease in Brinjal under the prevailing weather condition. Spray Bavistin @ 1g/liter of water.
• In Bitter gourd, there is chance of Epilachna beetle- under the present weather conditions. At the initial stage of infestation, it’s good to remove and burn the eggs with leaves and baby beetle. 2) If the infestation is high then apply 2.5-gram Carbaryl or 2 ml carbosulfan or 1.5 ml of (Cholrpyriphos+ Cypermethrin) per lit of water.
• Early planted winter vegetables are in vegetative to flowering. Arrange mulching on the standing crop.
• Apply Irrigation.

Horticultural

• The current weather is congenial for fruit blight and fruit rot disease in pomegranate, To control, spray Mancozeb 600g and Carbendazim 100 g @ 200 liter of water.
• Weather condition is favourable for the incidences of thrips in pomegranate to control thrips in pomegranate, spray Spinosad 2.5 SC @ 10 ml per 10 liters of water.
• Weather condition is favourable for the incidences of fruit fly in guava. Use fruit fly trap to control fruit fly damage in guava orchards
• There is a chance of erwinia rot in banana due to weather condition in this season. As a precaution, apply lime in the banana basin or bleaching powder in the irrigation channels. Severely affected plants should be cut and removed to prevent the spread of disease
• Apply Irrigation.

Livestock

• Promptly vaccinate to prevent anthrax, black quarter, and scurvy consecutively.
• Consult a veterinary hospital to prevent lumpy skin disease.
• Ensure safe livestock waste management to reduce carbon emissions.
• Give anthelmintic drugs.
• Use disinfectants like potassium permanganate/ bleaching powder in sheds.
• Feed only dry food.
• Maintain cleanliness around the shed. Ensure that water does not flow on the floor.
• Use naphthalene in cattle sheds to protect against mosquitoes flies.

Poultry

• Provide dry food and drink clean water.
• Spray disinfectant on the shed and then place the poultry.
• It is very important to provide a particular amount of dewormers to poultry, if poultry are not dewormed.
• Apply vaccinate if not vaccinated against Raniket and Gumboro disease.

Fishery

• If there were fish diseases or less growth, contact the nearest Upazila fisheries office immediately.
• Applying 250-500 gm lime/per decimal at the beginning of winter helps to get rid of fish diseases.
• Reduce food in winter. Stop feeding if needed.
• Monitor the growth of fish and disease by sampling every 15 days.
• Observe the fish for getting fed.
• Making your fish food, maintain the percentage of proteins and other ingredients as per the formula.
• Give quality food according to the quantity of fish at a specific time and place every day.
• Apply fertilizers (per day- Urea 6gm, TSP 4gm/ per decimal).

Potato

• Stage:vegetative growth
• Farmers are advised to apply 160-175 Kg urea/ha at 30-35 DAS as top dressing based on variety.
• Farmers are advised to apply 2nd irrigation at 40-45 DAS.
