Rice Aman

• Stage:Transplanting
• Prepare to Transplant the 25-30 days old seedlings in the main field after getting sufficient rainfall.
• Apply 1/3rd nitrogen(8Kg/bigha) as top dressing 15-20 days after transplanting.
• Apply pesticides after the current spell of rainfall.
• Drain out excess water, if any.
• Do not apply irrigation.
• Maintain 5-7 cm land water level.
• Present weather condition is congenial for Rice case worm infestation. Apply Malathion @2ml. per liter water.

Rice Aus

• Stage:Maturity to Harvesting
• Drain out the water from the land 15 days before harvest.

Vegetable

• Make arrangement to avoid plant damage (particularly staked creeper) from anticipated gusty winds.
• Make arrangement to raise new orchard during this time in monsoon season.
• In pumpkin, ridge-gourd, pointed gourd and cucumber, there is a chance of attack of Red-Pumpkin Beetle during current weather condition. To control, apply Malathion 57 EC @ 1.0ml/litre water.
• The prevailing weather conditions are congenial for incidence of sucking pests in vegetables. To control, spray Dimethoate @ 2 ml or Acephate @ 1.5 g per litre of water.
• Undertake nursery sowing of Tomato, Brinjal and Chillies and direct sowing of Gourds, Beans and Ladies finger.
• Apply pesticides after the current spell of rainfall.

Horticultural

• During this part of monsoon season, prepare pit for plantation of saplings of mango, guava and coconut. Plantation of banana crops should be done.
• Farmers are advised to take up plant protection measures carefully in horticultural crops like, pomegranate for bacterial blight and citrus for leaf minor as weather conditions favours the incidence of the disease.
• Provide mechanical support to banana, to prevent the crops from lodging due to strong winds.
• Prevailing weather conditions are congenial for the attack of mealybug on papaya fruit. The pest incidence can be controlled by spraying of Fenitrothion 50EC (Sumithion) @ 1.5ml/litre water ; also destruct ant colonies with drenching of Chlorpyriphos 20 EC @ 2 ml/liter.

• Apply light Irrigation.

Livestock

• To prevent various diseases as a recommended vaccine by the veterinarian.
• Ensure that water does not flow on the floor.
• Make sure the shelter at high and clean.
• Feed grass and grain feed and clean water also.

Poultry

• Provide dewormed to the poultry.
• Provide dry food and drink clean water.
• Keep poultry shed clean and disinfected. Spray disinfectant on the shed and then place the poultry.
• Provide adequate ventilation in the poultry sheds.

Fishery

• If there were fish diseases or less growth, contact the nearest Upazila fisheries office.
• Partially harvest fish and restock more than 10% of them 3/4 days after harvest.
• Monitor the growth of fish and disease by sampling every 15 days.
• Observe the fish for getting fed.
• Making your fish food, maintain the percentage of proteins and other ingredients as per the formula.
• Give quality food according to the quantity of fish at a specific time and place every day.
• Apply fertilizers (per day- Urea 6gm, TSP 4gm per decimal).
